REVIEW - Emily Fruit Crisps

Emily Fruit Crisps

First things first, this is going to be a picture-heavy post, but for that I make no apologies because LOOK AT THAT PACKAGING.

I first heard about Emily Fruit Crisps when I spotted a sponsored post for them on Facebook. Initially intrigued by the excellent name, a little digging discovered that these are 100% natural, vegan-friendly and gluten free, but, they were nowhere to be found in the North East.

REVIEW - Barry M Speedy Nail Paint 'Full Throttle' & 'Lap of Honour'

Barry M Speedy Nail Paint Full Throttle & Lap of Honour

Barry M nail polishes, you are officially my downfall.

I have hundreds of nail polishes (I got not one, but two different Ciate advent calendars in December - you do the maths), but I still find myself at the Barry M stand every time a new launch is announced.

When I heard about the new Speedy Nail Paint range I was excited - quick dry nail polish in pastel shades? Count me in. So when I popped into Boots today it was no surprise that I found two of the new range in my basket.

The Vegan Kind subscription box February 2015 #TVK16

The Vegan Kind February 2015 #TVK16

This month has been subscription box heaven in our house. Not only did I receive the Flowbox (review here), but I also got my regular Vegan Kind box and The Vegan Kind Beauty Box (review coming soon). Even Harvey got in on the action, I ordered him a special Valentine's Bark Beats box which he loved.

Lots of people have been saying on social media that this is the best ever Vegan Kind box, and I have to say, it's a pretty good one. Here's what was inside.

REVIEW - The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review

I picked up this cleansing oil a couple of weeks back after hearing Amelia from Amelia Liana rave about it in a few of her YouTube videos. Andrew bought me the cleansing butter from the same range for Christmas which I really liked so I thought I'd give the oil a go and see what the fuss was about.

Flowbox - Maxi Vegan Box February 2015

Maxi vegan Flowbox review

Before I went vegan I wasn't a huge fan of subscription boxes. I'd tried a Birchbox once and I liked it but I wasn't blown away enough to continue my membership past box one.

Once I became vegan I started looking for easy ways to discover new products and spotted The Vegan Kind on Facebook. It fit the bill from my very first box and I've been a subscriber ever since.

I love my TVK box, every month when it lands on my doorstep it's like Christmas as I unpack the contents and discover new products I might not have ever heard of otherwise. Obviously I would like this excitement to continue every day of my life, so I had a look around to see if there were any other vegan subscription boxes on the market, when someone told me about Flowbox.

REVIEW - Sukin Protein Shampoo & Nourishing Conditioner

Sukin Protein Shampoo & Nourishing Conditioner

If you read my last blog post you'll know we went to Sky Apple Cafe last Friday, but Sky Apple doesn't open for evening dining until 6pm and I finish work at 5, we had some time to kill before our meal.

The restaurant is in the Heaton area of Newcastle, where we actually used to live, but it's a place we don't visit so much now. There's a great TK Maxx store just around the corner in Byker which we used to visit all of the time, and it seemed like the perfect place to browse before our meal.

And I was so glad we did since I managed to pick up this Sukin shampoo and condition for a bargain price!
