REVIEW - The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review

I picked up this cleansing oil a couple of weeks back after hearing Amelia from Amelia Liana rave about it in a few of her YouTube videos. Andrew bought me the cleansing butter from the same range for Christmas which I really liked so I thought I'd give the oil a go and see what the fuss was about.

I've been using this to take off my makeup on a night and, so far, I'm really impressed. The cleansing oil comes in a 200ml bottle with a pump dispenser which is really handy, and I find that two - three pumps is enough to comfortably cleanse my whole face without the need for a second cleanse.

I massage the oil into dry skin, makeup and all, and leave the oil for a few seconds to break everything down before rinsing with warm water and a muslin cloth.

The oil itself is not at all greasy, it's a really nice, light oil which removes even waterproof mascara quickly and easily. As I've mentioned in a few other posts, my skin has been feeling pretty dry recently, and this doesn't irritate or further dry out my skin at all which is a must. It does say it's suitable for all skin types and I think even sensitive skin could get away with this as it's so lightly scented.

The only slight negative I have with this is that it has a tendency to leave a bit of a film behind on the skin if you don't rinse it off thoroughly, but whack a warm muslin cloth over the skin to finish off your cleanse and you're good to go.

The Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil retails for £10 at the Body Shop, but there's always a great offer to be had - I snapped mine up for the bargainous price of just £6 thanks to a VoucherCloud discount code. That being said, it's worth every penny of the £10.
