REVIEW - Sukin Protein Shampoo & Nourishing Conditioner

Sukin Protein Shampoo & Nourishing Conditioner

If you read my last blog post you'll know we went to Sky Apple Cafe last Friday, but Sky Apple doesn't open for evening dining until 6pm and I finish work at 5, we had some time to kill before our meal.

The restaurant is in the Heaton area of Newcastle, where we actually used to live, but it's a place we don't visit so much now. There's a great TK Maxx store just around the corner in Byker which we used to visit all of the time, and it seemed like the perfect place to browse before our meal.

And I was so glad we did since I managed to pick up this Sukin shampoo and condition for a bargain price!

Sukin Protein Shampoo

Sukin is a brand I was familiar with since I've used their foaming facial cleanser before (review here.) A few people had told me that the shampoo and conditioner were really good, so I was over the moon to find these huge 500ml bottles for just £6.99 each!

Sukin Protein Shampoo & Nourishing Conditioner

Both products are SLS free, paraben free and 100% vegan. I've been using them for just over a week now and I'm thrilled with the results.

There are a few different kinds of Sukin shampoo available, I picked up the protein shampoo which is suitable for fine hair. Whilst I do have quite a lot of hair, it can be really fine and straight so this seemed perfect to try and plump up my limp locks.

I love the smell of this shampoo, it takes a little while to get a lather on the hair (probably due to the lack of sulphates), but once you work it in to the hair it does a great job of cleansing the roots and you get a bit of a head massage to boot! It rinses easily, but after rinsing my hair feels tangled, dry and brittle.

Sukin Nourishing Conditioner

Enter: Sukin Nourishing Conditioner. This thick, creamy formula applies easily to even my tangled tresses, and after a few minutes of soaking in to the hair, rinses out to reveal silky soft, de-tangled hair which smells incredible.

You can buy Sukin online at Feel Unique or, if you're lucky, you might just find it at your local TK Maxx.
