Last night, Andrew and I went to Painted Elephant in Newcastle for a very fancy dining experience thanks to NE Veggie Socials. We joined the social group this time last year, shortly after going vegan, and this was the third NEVS event we've attended so far.

REVIEW - Taking The Pea coated crunchy pea snacks*
The lovely folks at the Vegan Lifestyle Association had been working with the equally lovely folks at Taking the Pea to help promote their newly launched snack line and recently asked if we'd like to give them a go - the answer was a resounding 'yes'. Who doesn't love a snack?

Mama Tyne's 50th birthday in York
On Friday my mum celebrated her 50th birthday! So to mark this most joyous of occasions (maybe not so joyous for her), me, my sister Sophie and my mum headed to York for a couple of days.

The Vegan Kind TVK Beauty Box February 2015
Last month was subscription box heaven in our household. As I've mentioned in a previous post, not only did I receive my regular Vegan Kind box, but I also picked up a Flowbox, a Bark Beats box for the pup and this, the Vegan Kind (TVK) Beauty Box!
This was my first TVK Beauty Box, despite being a long-term subscriber to the standard, monthly Vegan Kind box, but after a while deliberating whether to sign up I thought I'd treat myself to this in February. Here's what was inside...
