REVIEW & SWATCHES - Makeup Revolution Ultra Eyeshadows 'Flawless' Palette

Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette

Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette

I just announced my first ever giveaway here on Tea on the Tyne which is running throughout the whole of April (click here to find out more & enter) and this gorgeous palette is just one of the prizes which will be winging its way to one lucky winner in a month's time!

Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette

If you haven't heard of Makeup Revolution before, here's a bit of background. The brand launched in London in 2014 with the aim to offer high-performance cosmetics at low prices and with quality ingredients. I've never tried any of the other products, but on the eyeshadow front, Makeup Revolution certainly delivers on its promises.

The brand is sold online and in Superdrug stores in the UK, but if you've ever tried getting your hands on a palette in your local Superdrug you'll know just how quickly these little babies sell out!

Not all of the products are vegan, but none are tested on animals and the ingredients are printed on the packaging as well as online so you can check before you purchase. As far as I've seen, all of the eyeshadow palettes are SFV, and I hear Makeup Revolution is working on producing a vegan list to make things even easier.

Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette Swatch & Review

This palette contains 32 new and exclusive shades which are part of the highly-pigmented 'Ultra' range from Makeup Revolution. This palette contains a mixture of matte and shimmer shades in everything from neutral browns and creams to roses, blues and blacks. As you can see from the swatches above, for the most part the shadows are beautifully pigmented, but one or two of the really sheer, light shades didn't swatch too well, even on my pasty skin.

Whilst the first row focuses on those neutral, base shades and a couple of shimmers, the second row brings in some more experimental shades. 'Barely Pink' is one of those shades I'd never usually go for, but it's got such a gorgeous, rose gold sheen running through it I just might give it a try.

Row Three offers up some seriously beautiful metals. 'Copper Shimmer' has a stunning vivid red undertone and 'Black Tie' is so packed with fine glitters it's the reason I picked up this palette in the first place.

Row Four is where things get smoky. 'Red Night' would be the perfect partner for Barely Pink if you're looking for an alternative smoky eye, whilst 'Pure Chocolate' and 'Café Noir' are ideal for a neutral day-to-night look.

Whilst I did get a bit of fall-out on some of the darker shades, on the whole I found the formula of the shadows to be deliciously creamy and easy to work with. They're also really easily buildable, so you can build up quite a statement look in no time at all with these.

I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this palette. Shades-wise it has a little bit of everything as well as a full-size mirror and no rubbish applicator wasting precious palette space (let's face it, we never use them anyway, do we?)

If you fancy winning this, head on over to my giveaway blog post here and enter to be in with a chance. The competition is open worldwide so even if you're outside of the UK you can enter!

If you're reading this after the giveaway's finished or didn't happen to win, you can pick this palette up for a mere £8 here!

Have you ever tried any Makeup Revolution products before?
