REVIEW & SWATCHES - Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette, Iconic 1

Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 1

All this month I am giving you the chance to win a selection of my favourite cruelty-free and vegan eye makeup products. I've already swatched and reviewed another Makeup Revolution palette here which is one of the prizes, but this Iconic 1 palette forms part of the other prize that's up for grabs.

This palette contains 12 shades and is widely touted online for being a dupe for the original Naked palette by Urban Decay. Aside from the fact that the Urban Decay palettes are almost ten times the price, they also contain carmine which means they're not suitable for vegans.

Admittedly, I've never tried the Naked palette so I can't compare in terms of formula, but when it comes to colours, this palette is perfect for anyone who likes a nude, smokey eye (which is surely all of us).

I have super-pasty skin and even the palest shade had a really nice payoff on the swatch. There are a nice mixture of matt and shimmer shades in here, with some cooler browns and warmer tones side by side.

The second half of the palette is just as versatile, with a nice gold shimmer and some seriously smokey dark browns and a navy, perfect for an evening look.

These shadows are buttery soft and melt on contact with the skin. The colour payoff is excellent, and easily competes with more high-end shadows I've used.

This is a total bargain at just £4 and should be a staple in every girl's makeup bag.

If you don't already own it, you can enter to win this fab little piece of kit below! (Or you can pick one up at Superdrug stores or online here.)

The competition closes at the end of April and is open worldwide. For full competition details, see my original post here.

Good luck!
