Ethical Superstore Haul!*

Olive Branch Cinnamon Biscuits

For many vegans, becoming a vegan extends beyond simply not eating animal products into caring about what you eat, what you buy and the companies you support with your hard earned pennies. When you're on a budget or having a super-busy week it can be difficult to shop ethically 100% of the time, but thankfully there are sites like EthicalSuperstore.com which make shopping with a conscience a smidge easier.

When the folks at Ethical Superstore asked me if I'd like to try some goodies from their extensive - and I mean extensive - range of vegan-friendly products, I jumped at the chance. A few days later, this is what arrived on my doorstep...

Olive Branch Cinnamon Biscuits

Olive Branch Cinnamon Sweet Biscuits
Yum, yum, yum, these are like December 25th wrapped up in a little biscuit. I've actually tried these before (I think they were in an old Vegan Kind box) but they are so mouthwateringly crumbly and wonderfully spiced with one of my all-time favourite flavours; cinnamon.
Aside from being dairy and egg free, these biscuits are also gluten free, so if you're celiac or have a gluten intolerance, you'll be pleased to hear that Ethical Superstore also has a pretty good range of gluten-free goodies for you to select from.

Vego

Vego Whole Hazelnut Chocolate Bar
If you are reading this and you have never tried a Vego bar I implore you to click the link above, click 'add to basket' and complete that purchase, stat.
This stuff is like vegan catnip. Think solidified Nutella mixed with that big purple Quality Street x 1,000,000. I gave this to my dad once, and he almost keeled over and died of sheer joy in front of my eyes.
To come home from work and find this on my doorstep. There are no words to describe my elation. Thank you, Ethical Superstore, just... thank you.

Sugar Sin Caramel Fizz

Sugar Sin Caramel Fizz Natural Jelly Sweets
I am such a sucker for packaging and this little tub has everything I like. Teal? Check. Rose gold shiney bit? Check. Really cute quote on the seal? Check.

Sugar Sin Caramel Fizz

When it came to the sweets themselves, I was dubious. Some vegan jelly sweets are just plain odd, and these are caramel flavoured with sour sugar crystals? "It'll never work!" I said. Oh, how wrong I was! These are... hold on while I eat one more just to make sure... oh yeah. they're delicious. Sour sugar up front that quickly subsides into a creamy caramel, with a nice, chewy jelly texture which is not at all weird.

These are also gluten free, and just in case you fancy being extra ethical, they're palm oil free too!

Sealand Birk Elderflower Birch Water

Sealand Birk Elderflower Birch Water
I have to admit, I did hint that I wanted to try this elderflower birch water so when I opened the box to discover two boxes I was over the moon! I tried maple water the other day and it was soooo sickly sweet I really didn't enjoy it, but this birch water is incredible.

Sealand Birk Elderflower Birch Water

Birch water is rich in electrolytes, macronutrients and potassium, is said to be able to 'flush out toxins' and some say it can even reduce cellulite! I don't know about any of that, but this is really refreshing and absolutely delicious with a subtle hint of elderflower. I will definitely be stocking up on this!

If you fancy picking up any of these goodies, head to EthicalSuperstore.com and I defy you not to be tempted by some of the other incredible products they have in store. The site is stupidly easy to navigate, and you can search by ethics so if you're only interested in vegan, organic, fair trade, carbon neutral products with biodegradable packaging, or even if you're just looking for something bee friendly, you can find it at the click of a button!

Let me know if you're picking anything up!

*I was sent these products by EthicalSuperstore.com for the purposes of a review. The above is my honest opinion of each of the products (*stuffs more jelly sweets in mouth*).
