Pay Weekend Wishlist

Here are the things I've been 'adding to basket' this month in preparation for pay day weekend, and the North East hotspots I've been longing to pay a visit.

1. The Blogger's Planner
Available at:
I've had my sights set on this since I saw the lovely Vegan Taff post hers on Instagram. I'm a serious stationery addict anyway, but this beautiful personalised planner is the stuff of dreams. With space to plan posts, checklists to make sure you've gone through all of the necessary steps to make the most of your entries, and pages to record your blog and social media stats, this is going to up my blogging game in a major way. New shades for autumn will be available soon, and I've got my eyes very firmly peeled for their launch date.

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel
Available at:
I know everyone raves about the Anastasia Brow Wiz, but something really draws me to this tinted gel. It reminds me of Benefit Gimme Brow, but this offering from Anastasia is cruelty free, and comes in loads of different shades (it's also cheaper!).

3. Rituals Yogi Flow Shower Foam
Available at:
I got a free sample of this at the Rituals store in York last year and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, it didn't last very long because my mum thought it was an air freshener and sprayed it all over her living room. A gel-to-foam formula, it's the delicate mixture of sweet almond oil and Indian rose which make this a total winner for me. Rituals is also offering 30% off all products this weekend, so it's a bit of a no-brainer; I'll definitely be popping in to Fenwicks to pick up one of these.

4. Diptyque Ambre Candle
Available at:
No matter how many different brands of candle I buy, I always come back to Diptyque. There is just no other brand that can match it in terms of scent throw, burn time and range. The ambre scent is my absolute favourite when the nights start to draw in, so I'll be splurging some of my N.Dulge rewards points on a mini Diptyque this month.

5. The Bohemian, Pink Lane, Newcastle
More info at:
The Bohemian on Pink Lane is a very exciting addition to Newcastle's vegan / vegetarian scene. A bar, kitchen and second-hand record store, I love the concept, the interiors and the menu. Situated in what used to be Stateside Diner just near Central Station, The Bohemian is filled with promise. I can't wait to pop along for an epic vegan chilli dog and some sweet potato fries!

6. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar RTW in 'Memento'
Available at:
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is a brand I've been dying to get my hands on for a while. The company's whole line is vegan and cruelty free, and is famed for its vibrant lip tars. The original lip tars come in 'squeezy tube' style packaging, whereas these RTW (ready to wear) lip tars come like a traditional gloss with a doe-foot applicator, but stay put for just as long as the original product. I particularly love this super-wearable rose pink shade.

7. Kat Von D 'Five Fearless Years' Limited Edition Tattoo Liner in 'Trooper'
Available at
I've mentioned a few times on the blog about my love for the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner - without doubt, the blackest, most long-lasting liquid eyeliner I've ever used. This stuff is smudge-proof, tear-proof and fool-proof to apply, with a soft, tapered nib which makes cat eyes a doddle.
This limited edition liner is adorned with Kat's signature stars and $1 from the sale of each liner is donated to the California Wildlife Centre! My sister is currently touring around America, so I'm hoping she's made a trip to Sephora to pick me one of these beauties up - or anything from Kat's range, as it's 100% vegan and 100% GORGEOUS.

8. Dacantus, Grey Street, Newcastle
More info at:
Gin is, without a doubt, my tipple of choice. So when my friend Sarah told me about this new bar specialising in gin cocktails bigger than your head, it automatically joined my 'must visit' list. Each of the 40 speciality gins has been matched with its perfect mixer and a complementary botanical so you get the most out of each sip. Plus, they're huge!

What are you picking up this pay weekend?

Emily x
