The Vegan Kind February 2016 - TVK28

The Vegan Kind February 2016

Each month when The Vegan Kind box arrives is a bit of a ceremony in our house. If Andrew's working late I have to wait until he gets home before the grand unboxing! This month's box is - in my humble opinion - one of the best boxes we've had in a while, if not... THE BEST BOX EVER. Read on to find out more...

Ten Acre Popcorn

Ten Acre Sour Cream and Chive Popcorn (RRP £0.80)

I would class myself very much in 'camp popcorn' when it comes to choosing a savoury snack. Sweet and salty is usually my flavour of choice, but this here popcorn by Ten Acre is completely out of this world. Like, my-mouth-is-watering-just-typing-about-this-popcorn-because-it-is-so-deliciously-good, good.

This has a distinctly cheesy, creamy, sour cream and chive flavour, but it also has a caramelly sweetness to it which just takes it to another level. Ten Acre were already rockin' it when it comes to crisps, but their popcorn offering is equally as impressive. 10/10.

TG Teabags Ginger and Lemon Zest

TG Green Tea Teabags - Ginger & Lemon Zest (RRP £4.29)

Come on, tea? This blog ain't called 'Tea on the Tyne' for no reason. I freaking LOVE tea in all of its forms, but I can't think of much better than a ginger and lemon cuppa green tea on a cold day (of which we are having plenty of late).

These are pyramid bags so you can see the ingredients inside and tell immediately these are good quality. I also LOVE the packaging, it's bright, vibrant, informative and functional with a resealable top.

The bags themselves have a light, herbal scent and are not too heavy on the ginger or lemon which is definitely a good balance against the delicate green leaves. An excellent addition to this month's box.

Human+Kind Grapefruit Shampoo and Shower Gel

Human+Kind Grapefruit Shampoo and Body Wash (RRP £6.00)

Wow, wow, wow. How beautiful is this bottle? The design is so vibrant and intricate, who wouldn't want to reach for this in the shower?

This huge 250ml bottle of grapefruit-scented shampoo and body wash is free from petrochemicals, parabens, colourants and SLS. It also smells amazing - sort of like a candied grapefruit rather than a sharp, strong citrus. Can't wait to use this!

Chika's Black Pepper Cashews

Chika's Sea Salt and Black Pepper Cashews (RRP £1,89)

Cashews are my favourite nut (both in nut and in butter form!) so I was thrilled to see these in this month's box. I've tried the plantain chips by Chika's before and I can't remember their packaging being quite so fancy before, it really looks lovely and very high-end. Will be munching these at my desk next week!

Ombar Centres Coconut & Vanilla

Ombar Centres - Coconut & Vanilla (RRP £1.99)

This should be called 'OMGbar', amirite? Coconut and vanilla creamy centre encased in coconut chocolate? It's like all my coconutty prayers have been answered! It's taken every ounce of strength I have not to eat this long enough for me to photograph it. Will it last until the end of this blog post? Probably not...

eat chic Peanut Butter Cups

eat chic Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (RRP £3.00)

OK, game over, I'm done. When these peeked out from the bottom of this month's box I about keeled over. There may be two in here but these are NOT for sharing (sorry, Andrew). I've tried the original eat chic peanut butter cups before and they were incredible (dare I say, better than my old friend, Reeses?) and I can only imagine that a sprinkling of Maldon sea salt on one and a liberal coating of coconut on the other are only going to improve these dreamy little cups.

Do you subscribe to The Vegan Kind? I'd love to hear what you thought of this month's box!
